About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Broaden my horizons by visiting new horizons.

ABOUT ME

I'm all about the outdoors and self propelled recreation. I love kayaking/canoeing, swimming, ice skating (and playing hockey!), biking, running, and above all hiking and mountaineering. I enjoy playing almost all sports but especially hockey, futbol, badminton, ultimate, and dodgeball. Non active hobbies include... photography. Well, that's a lie, because I generally hike to take photos and vice versa.

Also, I'm a chordate.

PHILOSOPHY

If you can't do anything about it, don't worry about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once I tried surfing on a couch, but it sank. :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sadly not much yet, I've only hosted a couple surfers but it was great fun. I hope to host more in the future when I land somewhere in one place for longer than a few weeks.

Interests

Outdoors type stuff, playing hockey, soccer, hiking, mountaineering, badminton, ultimate, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving. Photography, beer, meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not all that is gold glitters, not all who wander are lost.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Angkor Wat is quite possibly the most impressive thing I've ever seen - more than the other wonders, in my humble opinion. However amazing ancient structures are, nothing compares to nature. Swimming with huge sea turtles as well as whale sharks ranks up in my top moments, as does seeing a lion take down a warthog.

Also, driving in Cairo was pretty ridiculous.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always recycle your plastic!

But first, reduce. Then re-use.
