About Me

Starting "about me" column is pretty hard so we shall proceed to the middle of it. This is actually a joint profile for me and my wonderful boyfriend Tomas. I live, spend mostly all of my time and travel with him. I am more than happy to have met a person so alike, to be able to do so. We do everything to be able to be fully in control of our time while trying to turn our hobbies and things we enjoy doing into money and only when we know why we need it. Eating is most of the time a pretty good excuse to make money. Anyways, I don't think that how a person makes a living defines one. And what defines us is quite a difficult question. As far as traveling goes, the main goal is to find least touristic places that characterizes a country best. We find alcohol fun sometimes but not necessary. We think it's possible to talk without words.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I mean, who wouldn't like meeting locals and sharing XP (I don't mean windows if somebody's curious). Honestly, most people don't travel because it's quite expensive. Why not help each other see the world?

Interests

We have recently started an Instagram page, feel free to check it out:
https://www.instagram.com/4kmenys/
We are drawn to aesthetics, minimalism. Also refurbish vintage cameras and lenses, shoot on film.

We have quite a few bicycles at home, we use them to get out of the city for a few days. Love a challenge! Biggest distance so far is more or less 200 km in two days. Our asses hurt like crazy after, so Tomas is very much into bike fitting these days.
Bikepacking is also one of our interests. We sew bags ourselves.

Traveling is a way to get out of our comfort zone and our goal is to find a place we synergize with. Maybe put our roots there. The thought of people staying in one place for their whole lives is unimaginable. The world is soooooooooo HUGE JUSUS CHRIST.

I myself used to write music. I wish to be able to do it again. I play the piano a bit, guitar poorly. I admire classical music, I find it very calming and sometimes sad (I like sad).

Tomas is a secret engineer. He tends to fix stuff and find ways to use the unusable. He is always full of ideas and inventions. The best navigator I know (I'm the worst he knows).

TV Shows: Trailer park boys; Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency; Utopia

Books: I used to really like The Alchemist, I didn't read a single book for a while now, which is pretty sad. Tomas doesn't read, I guess he can't I'm not really sure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What is amazing to me, could be unsurprising to you. One of the best things I have done in my entire life is quitting my studies. I've done crazy things as well, but I don't find them that amazing.

Tomas prefers not to say because people are very fast to make an opinion about someone they don't know.

Teach, Learn, Share

It depends if you want to be thought or not, because if you don't, there's nothing we can do. I could probably teach you how to make cepelinai. Play league (essentials), the worst things about my country, how to make the cheapest lunch, help you with your bike fit or your bike's mechanic performance, use SLR's in full manual. Our language (it is considered very hard to learn so be aware of that) .
There may be other things that didn't come into my mind just now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We could share our sofa, maybe a beer, glass of wine thoughtful thoughts and jokey jokes (it depends if you can find us funny), fridge, kitchen, bathroom, bike (if we have one at a time).
