Overview
About Me
I worked for an oil company, and felt my soul dying a little bit every day. So I decided to leave the company and go for an extended journey around the world.
So far I really love the freedom of not having to spend 8 hours a day in an office looking at spreadsheet. But there are of course days where I feel a little useless :-)
As of 2016, I have moved to Hualien, Taiwan, where I live with my girlfriend Pei Ru. Profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2002515178
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love both hosting guests and staying with hosts. I am a big supporter of the sharing economy. It allows one to travel the world and meet all sorts of great people without having to be a millionaire. What's not to like!
Interests
Travel, history, science and philosophy.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like a wide array of books, movies and TV-series. The books that have influenced me most is:
Jacob Fisker: Early Retirement Extreme: A Philosophical and Practical Guide to Financial Independence
Rolf Potts: Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel
Both are very much in the spirit of CS. I highly reccommend them!

Looking up at the sky on a clear winter night and just imagine the sheer vastness of everything.
