About Me
I was born in NZ, raised in Australia and I now live in Finland. In Finland I study nursing & will graduate 2018. I am married with 3 boys. I frequent the Helsinki Couchsurfing group, where I have met loads of other people who share similar interests. I love to travel and look for new experiences when I am able to. I have travelled by myself a lot, but also enjoy travelling with friends & family. They are most important to me. I am grateful to have a partner that supports me in everything that I do. I like to have a good laugh with people & try to get around and do a variety of new activities. I believe that we are constantly learning & really appreciate what others have to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people and show newcomers around Helsinki. Also to find a couch to crash on when I am travelling.
Interests
Watching a good acoustic cover band. Getting together with mates and having a good brunch or drinking wine at a good restaurant / bar.
I like to go running and take photos along the way of things I find interesting.
Currently my boys and I have a small project going where we are Graffiti spotting in Helsinki and taking pics of our favourites. We aim to host an exhibition in September.
I really miss the long sandy beaches in Australia, a good seafood buffet, maori bread in NZ, onsens in Japan, good sushi like I used to eat working in Tokyo, a good maori Haka that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, beautiful mountain peaks in the alps.
Music, Movies, and Books
