About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy the remainder of my career break
ABOUT ME
I am a 29 year old english guy who is currently enjoying the delights of an 18 month career break. I have taken a break from my career to re-establish my positive personality and find out what truly makes me happy.
Having dedicated the last 8 years of my life to pursuing a career in Local Government, I decided to take advantage of the benefits available to me and was granted a career break.
Rather than spend all my time backpacking, I combined my love of cycling with travel and cycled from Vancouver, Canada to San Diego in the US over a 4 month period in late 2010/early 2011.
The cycle was amazing and was easily one of the best experiences of my life. After the ride, I headed to New Mexico for 2 months to live with my girlfriend in her home state.
After the US I headed across the Pacific to New Zealand and have been living, working and enjoying the Rugby World Cup in Auckland. My girlfriend and I are about to embark on a 4 month cycle tour around New Zealand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently inhabiting sofas.
When I return to the UK or if I decide to live in another country on a longer basis, then I will host other couchsurfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Three in the US.
One in Seattle, Washington State in October 2010.
The second was in Portland, Oregon. During this time I lived with many other couchsurfers from across the globe as the house regularly had up to 6 couchsurfers staying at one time.
The last was in Oakland, Bay Area in California
Interests
Cycling is what makes me tick - without it I would go crazy. Traveling is another pastime of mine. Football. Lifelong member of Lewes Bonfire Celebrations which entails being an anarchist every November. Reading, music, music festivals, clubbing, outdoor free parties/raves and good quality beer (none of that fizzy mass produced muck).
