ABOUT ME
I'm a lot of things... I tend to think a lot, I fall in love with ideas in an instant, and I apparently have a very soft voice. My eyes give me away, my goal is to live and be able to look back and not say 'I wish that I'd...'... I tend to be rather intense, very hopeful, cynical at moments and sweet at almost any other time... I think fast enough that I come accross as random sometimes, and I can't stand people who are stuck up, arrogant, or unwilling to get to know somebody because of some stupid rumor or reason. I think I have a very open mind... and usually heart... when it comes to most anything. I want to travel, I have a restless spirit. I love to laugh, and sarcasm, wit, sweetheartedness, and intelligence drive me crazy. I tend to iris in on things, until I get them or no longer want them. Call it stubborn, call it tunnel-vision, call it whatever you want but its just the way it is.I don't mind stress, and I'm probably the most curious person over the age of 10 that you'll ever meet. I tend to be very ambiguous and very blunt, often at the same time, and I have an insane memory. Carpe Diem. Stop and smell the roses. Face adversity. Let yourself fall in love. Live as though you'll die tomorrow. Learn as though you'll live forever. Name your fears, and face them head on. Live with intense compassion. But most of all, live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I am a college student and unable to host guests (as, when I am in school, I literally have no space, and, when at home I have parents who aren't entirely savvy to the wonders of Couchsurfing...) However! Just as soon as I get a place to call my own for some amount of time, I am very excited to host! Until then I am a traveller, curious as always. I've officially couchsurfed once, and it was wonderful! I've unofficially experienced couchsurfing compassion one other time, one that I will always be extremely grateful.
Interests
New people. New cultures. New places. I want to go skydiving, take a trip on an ice breaker cruise in Greenland, witness the Hajj, stay at a bhuddist monastary for a few weeks, learn Hindu, hear someone use more than one vocal cord at a time, so that it is a chord (some monks are able to do this), pick olives and grapes at an Itialian vinyard, hug a penguin, meet the queen of England, help raise lion cubs in Zimbabwe for a summer, fly with a stunt flyer, learn to be an excellent cook, learn to sew and design clothing, become a writer, see all of the world, climb the Sydney bridge, go zip-lining, learn to trapeeze, and witness a total eclipse. I'd like to play piano, I wish I could sing with a knowledge of actual tones,I would like to learn to draw and paint... I play volleyball, I'm fascinated by cultures, religions, languages, and people, learning is pretty central to who I am... And one day, it'd be neat to meet 'the one'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*Watched sixteen strangers turn into family over the course of sixteen weeks.
*Been an exchange guest in a rural Alaskan village during Easter season-- people leave their homes open with food out on the table and expect you to come in, help yourself, and move on, without them there! Its amazing.
*Met a very hospitable Irish girl on a plane, fifteen minutes later she was giving me a ride to Gallway, half an hour later she was offering her floor for me to sleep on, ten hours later she was making me and two other guests a traditional Irish breakfast.
*Walked the lava fields on Hawaii's Big Island and felt the extreme heat of just a small amount of moving lava...
