Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great experience surfing Luisa´s's couch in St Andrews, Scotland and staying in Abraham´s house in Trujillo Peru.

Interests

At the moment I don't really have time for many interests outside of my job teaching Social Anthropology at university and other things revolving around Anthropology such as writing articles. However, I love playing football - I play 5 a side once a week, and swimming. I'm currently trying to teach myself to play guitar. I organise film evenings in St Andrews to watcch Latin American films at university, whih is quite fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any good Russian novelists, especially Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy. P G Wodehouse, Bill Bryson.
My favourite movie has got to be Pan´s Labrynth, and i`ve also got into films by Almodovar recently. I love Volver and La mala educacion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia and Foz de Iguazu in Argentina/Brazil are the most amazing things I have seen. Walking the great wall of China was pretty cool too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Spanish, maybe a bit of Quechua. Would love to improve my Quechua and guitar playing if anyone can teach me/practise with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share titbits of several languages, and many interesting tories surrounding my fieldwork for my PhD in Soccial Anthropology, which I caried out in Bolivia.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In
