About Me
ABOUT ME
I kick ass at karaoke, I don't like to stay in one place too long, I'm always up to try new places, things, food, etc. My next goal is to get my scuba license, give up smoking, and eventually run a marathon in every state in the U.S.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life to the fullest so that when (if) I get old I don't have any regrets or things I've always wanted to do but didn't (no bucket list for me, thanks). Right now that means meeting as many cool people and seeing as many new places as possible, and also maintaining relationships with old friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and surfed. My friend and I did a month long road trip across the country in January 2011 and used couchsurfing at several stops. Also, I love going to the meet and greets to meet amazing people in my area (the people in Tampa Bay CouchSurfing really are incredible!).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My previous couch surfing experiences have been through friends, I couchsurfed with three of my friends in Dallas and Las Vegas on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. We also couchsurfed in Cluj in Romania with a friend's family. So far they've been great experiences. Also, I've had the opportunity to host three people through the CouchSurfing network, they were all great, I had a lot of fun and even discovered some new places in Tampa to hang out.
Interests
Traveling, obviously. Thrift shops, languages, karoake, dancing, ANYTHING to do with the water (that's what happens when you live in Florida all your life), concerts, basketball, football, life in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a Jane Austen fiend, Pride and Prejudice is my favorite, also I love Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings, and A Tale of Two Cities. My favorite movie is L'Auberge Espagnole, and right now I've been getting more into the folksy/bluegrass kind of sound, though I love pretty much all music but techno.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most amazing thing I've done is run a marathon (26.2 miles), although I almost died at the end of it (well, not really, but I was almost hospitalized). The most amazing thing I've seen was probably the scenery on the train ride through Romania from Predeal to Cluj, with the snow and mountains and sunrise, it was pretty incredible. Also, the Grand Canyon, especially if you go when it's a little colder, because then it's not overrun with people. And to add to the list, bungee jumping in Costa Rica was pretty badass!
