About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No more excuses

ABOUT ME

I love gaining new experiences. Love travel. I enjoy a full life experience.

My last extensive CS experience was in New Zealand, where I wanted to explore the film industry. That was in 2010, last year I spent three months in Brazil and then 5 weeks in Pennsylvania but I traveled extensively in both those places.

I love feeling engaged, eating, and connecting with different types of people.

PHILOSOPHY

You're gonna die your own death so you may as well live your own life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS in January 2010 in Auckland NZ, and initially did a lot of events, like Tongariro and the Waitakeries. I made some lovely friends in NZ. It really is a good tool for connecting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really liked some of the events we did and definitely some of the great people I've met.

Interests

I think all CS'ers are bound to say travel so hah- i am a cliche!

I love film, making them, watching them, scrutinising them. My rule is always try to find something you love about a film; even if the film isn't that great. Maybe the script was good, or the cinematography, or the comedic timing. There is always something to like. Maybe that's a good mantra for life.

I love to read, cook, paint and outdoorsy stuff.

I like to swim, hike and go out.

I am also a reiki practitioner.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally love Tarantino and Kubrick.

Jersy Kosinski wrote a powerful novel called "The Painted Bird"

I like books written in the 1800's, general American Civil war period and after. Love sci-fi books. And I love reading up about Buddhism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling the Death Rd in Bolivia.

Macchu Piccu in Peru..

Swimming in waterfalls in the Brazilian 'serrado'...

Witnessing the magnificent Mt Kinabalu and the wonderful Orangutans in Borneo

Wakeboarding and accidentally peeing on a tarantula in Tennessee!

Partying in NYC

Tramped in the Blue Mountains in Sydney

Driving from Pennsylvania through NY state Vermont to Montreal with my eccentric auntie

Marvelled at the Alhambra, Versailles and Venice in Europe..

so many to mention..

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I have a range of skills. But this isn't a resume so this is how I'll put it; if I were to give a child advice for the first time as they approach the world I would say...

Believe in yourself and everyone else will.

Have faith in yourself, so others can too.

Be yourself, fall away from comparison.

There is no better there.

Follow your bliss.
