About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to voyage around our planet Earth!

I am a student, pursuing the art of filmmaking. I am also an amateur-ish musician who plays piano, ukulele, and (some) guitar.

I'm still discovering exactly what I'm supposed to be doing here on this rotating space-ship (Earth) and what my purpose in life is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only hosted one time, and I surfed for the first time in July 2015! It was fantastic.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Selen picked me up from school one day to meet a Couchsurfer whom she was hosting. This is how I found out about "couchsurfing." I met Kseniia and acted as her tour guide around the Las Vegas Strip, and for those few hours that we conversed, I felt that I had found a soulmate. I hosted Kseniia one night in my house and then she was off, journeying back home. I'm hoping to meet more people and share new experiences.

Interests

I have a passion for film photography, though I don't get to do it much because film is very expensive, and processing it is even more.

I've been more interested in documentary filmmaking lately, and I want to document my travels, especially when couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my all time favorite films is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I enjoy any film with crazy and intriguing concepts.

I generally love all types of music and very open to hearing anything. I have a few favorite bands that I am constantly listening to: As Tall As Lions, Circa Survive, Interpol, Local Natives, and Underoath. There are probably more. Though if you take a look at my collection of music, you'll wonder why it's a whole mix of genres.

I love reading when I have time to, and I recently got into comics. "Alex + Ada" is one that I highly recommend. I am currently reading some stories by Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's so many to list!

Cliff-diving with my friend Selen. (2013)

First solo trip on the Amtrak. (June-July 2015)

Camping on a cold and foggy San Francisco beach with my best friend, Star. (June 2016)

Cliff-diving in Hawaii at Waimea Bay (2 times!). (August 2016)

Teach, Learn, Share

We are all passengers on a massive spinning spaceship called Earth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to speak French with anyone who knows the language. It would be a great opportunity for me to practice my French-speaking! I can also kind of cook, but I can definitely bake!

Everyone has stories, and that is something special we can all share with each other; story-sharing is how you connect and learn about people!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Philippines, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
