ABOUT ME

After I had worked as a correspondent for a national newspaper for ten years I became press officer of a minister in the regional government dealing with economy, tourism, transport and European integration. Since 2004 I have been responsible for public relations concerning European affairs and external relations in the regional administration.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Actually I started couchsurfing aged 16 - that was in the the 1970s. There was neither internet nor mobile phones. But I often had success to find wonderful hosts as I travelled around (Western) Europe by Interrail or hitchhiking.

Later, as I owned a car, I often picked up hitchhikers and offered them my couch until I had my first family. Later I owned a camper. Then followed the second family. We experienced "Home Exchange" a couple of times and had great holidays - each for some weeks at a time.

Now, being single again, I want to repeat my couchsurfing experience and travel to the countries and regions where I have never been before: Ukraine was on my travel plans for 2015. And I think that I fell in love with this wonderful country in Eastern Europe. So I hope to have the possibility to travel there again!
