I hope to be a fluent Spanish and Chinese speaking Dentist who travels to multiple countries providing free dental services to the underserved internationally!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Encinitas, California with a family of 2 sisters, a mother and a father. I graduated from the University of California San Diego, lived in San Francisco for Dental school, then Chicago for residency. I have just recently graduated from a long hard road of education and now I’m chillin for a while before starting to work. I love helping people and I hope to volunteer in Africa with "Dentists Without Border's" , a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free health services to impoverished countries. I am a very social person who loves to meet lots of different people from all over the world! I love life to the fullest, especially while traveling! In addition, I can make a mean french-toast breakfast and a delicious cooked potatoes meal! I am very interested in and excited about learning new cultures. I have also travelled to Argentina, Uganda, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, Spain, and Morocco to expand my knowledge of other cultures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted two times before but I originally did it through my friend's profile because I had not created my own at that time. I would like to get more involved with couch-surfing when I return to the States, that way I can provide my couch for travelers and meet many people who are willing to share their travel experiences with me!

I have couch surfed all over the world! Mostly in South America, but also in the US. I love share about my culture, teaching English to those that want to learn. I love hanging out with the hosts if they are down! I just want to learn what the locals do wherever I go. I truly love couch surfing, it’s been and amazing experience.

Me gustaría involucrarse más con sofá-surf cuando regrese a Estados Unidos, de esa manera puedo dar mi sofá para los viajeros y conocer a muchas personas que están dispuestas a compartir sus experiencias de viaje con mi!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed all through out South America and every experience has been amazing! Everyone has been extremely inviting and helped us learn about the local culture.

Interests

I love traveling the world, hiking, climbing, scuba diving, and doing lots of athletic things. One thing I am particularly fond of and have been practicing for a while, is the poi! In addition, I have played soccer for almost 7 years before I entered high school and am willing to play again!

Me encanta viajar por el mundo, el senderismo y hacer un montón de cosas deportivas. Una cosa que me gustan especialmente y he estado practicando durante un tiempo es hacer Slacklining! I went to Africa through a program which was connected to my high school when I was younger. With this program, I was given the opportunity to help the doctors providing free medical services to the children of Africa. After almost each and every treatment, the patient would get on his knees and cry after a session of kisses and hugs-this experience was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The amount of gratitude these people had and how content these people were with their lives even before any treatments with cases such as: tumors the size of soft-balls, multiple life-threatening diseases, etc. This experience in itself was awe-strucking; it was crazy to imagine that these people were genuinely happy with their lives and they were.

Fui a África a través de un programa que se conecta a mi escuela cuando era más joven. Con este programa, se me dio la oportunidad de ayudar a los médicos que brinden servicios médicos gratuitos a los niños de África. Después de casi todos y cada tratamiento, el paciente sería ponerse de rodillas y llorar después de una sesión de besos y abrazos, esta experiencia fue la cosa más asombrosa que he visto nunca. La cantidad de gratitud a estas personas tenían y cómo el contenido de estas personas estaban con su vida, incluso antes de cualquier tratamiento con casos tales como: tumores del tamaño de pelotas suaves, múltiples enfermedades que amenazan la vida, etc Esta experiencia en sí era impresionante strucking; que era una locura imaginar que estas personas eran realmente felices con sus vidas y que eran.
