CURRENT MISSION

I have always been an explorer. But only recently have i been able to get out and really explore the world. I am facinated with the "off the beaten path" mentality. My objective is to wander aimlessly and enjoy the moment i am in.

ABOUT ME

I am brand new to this concept. I heard about it from a friend and thought it was an awesome idea. I was born and grew up in Mission Viejo Ca. I had never set foot outside the country until i was 24. Being surrounded by people who wealth and success is the only reason for living caused me to look around to see if the whole world was like this. I could never relate to that mentality. As i have always thought things to be is that,"you work to live... you dont live to work". I have always been good with my hands so when i was 20 i started my own custom cabinet making company. It was pretty sucessful but i was working 80 hrs a week and had the added stress of balancing all the aspects of the business. I decided there is more to life than working for works sake. I closed down shop, and decided to look around and see what this world has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

Independence. That pretty much sums it up. i don't like utterly relying on people for anything. I believe that a person should be able to take care of themselves. This opens one up to truly enjoy and genuinely care for others around you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since i am new to this i am not sure how everything works. I am traveling right now but when i return if i like the experience i would love to have people stay at my place, to show them around and just meet new people.

I currently don't have any experience. i have read some of the comments and am so excited to meet new people and experience the places i visit as the people who live there do.

Intereses

I have several interests: I enjoy learning. I find archetecture interesting. I love astronomy, geology, history,and languages. I love the outdoors. Around here i hike, mountain bike, run, swim, when i was young i used to ride horses. And I love woodworking. It is an amazing feeling to take flat boards and make them elegant furniture or intricate cabinets.

I am pretty ecclectic with my music, books, and movies. My Favorite author right now is Guy Gavriel Kay.I dont have a favorite music right now but my favorite movies would have to be Space Balls, Princess Bride, Equilibrium, and Wedding Crashers

I have been inside the Pyramids, Sailed down the Nile, Stayed up partying for 48 hrs in Ios. Taught myself languages and Geology/Astronomy.

Well I guess I have several things to share. I love the sciences and am decent with Geology and Astronomy. I like History, especially ancient History. I am also good with my hands. I am a cabinet maker by trade and I enjoy fixing things
