ABOUT ME

Well...I studied writing at college but music has always been my thing. I played in tons of bands and when i graduated, I decided I was going to try to make a life out of professional musicianship.

Thus began a few years of incredible times, some good and some bad. I've had the opportunity to share the stage with some amazing musicians and travel the country and the world playing. I made an album that alot of people liked and even appeared on NPR with my band.

If I do say so myself i had alot of success before the lifestyle got to me --- the lack of security, the perils of the modern music industry, etc --- So i decided to take a big step back and try to enjoy life a little more. I wanted to enjoy the rest of my 20s, traveling, spending time with friends and family, discovering and savouring all the pleasures of this world.

So now you won't find me obsessing over how many itunes songs I've sold, or how many people will come to my shows or whether or not I'm going to be famous. In April I am moving to New York to go to culinary school (my other passion).

I've also done a ton of traveling, both on my own and through the Semester at Sea program.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In August I had the sweet opportunity to tour europe with a band and we couch-surfed twice. I was so amazed by the warmth and comradery we experienced that I promised I would register myself so I could do the same for other people.
