Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

try and be as welcoming a host as possible. try and be as clean a surfer as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed around in southern africa. perfect. better than i could have ever hoped or imagined. hosted a lot recently. couchsurfing is basically one of the coolest things ever.

Interests

most everything. climbing, food, traveling top the list i guess. i also really like movies, maybe to an unhealthy degree.

Music, Movies, and Books

All music, been listening to a lot of Americana lately to offset the years of heavy electronic listening. Too many movies and TV shows to list, but I have a particular soft spot for what-some-would-call bad SciFi and post apocalyptic movies and shows. Books... lately I have really been liking Steven King. Thought I was too cool to read him in my ignorant youth years, but have decided he is pretty amazing in my wise old age.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending the night in the wilderness in Norway. Getting drunk and hanging out with "Johnny Fingers" in Camdentown, London. Climbing in Costa Rica with a small group of locals. Walking through the Racihna Favella in Rio. Sharing tea with Kuwaiti elders. Eating steak in Argentina, and not being able to sleep cause I was so full. Conquering half of the Japan (yes the whole country) in one weekend. conquering the northern cape of south africa in one weekend in an air-cooled 1950's beetle with no starter or 4th gear. realizing zimbabwe is actually one of the friendliest countries in the world regardless of mugabe and the rest of the worlds opinion. bathing in a freeeeezing cold mountain pool in Mulanje, Malawi after killing and butchering a chicken (i am now a vegan, not kidding). getting a free ride from a trucker in northern mozambique (sounds lame, but it is nearly impossible). I could go on all day, but i'd rather hear your stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always ready for a heated discussion.
