Overview
About Me
Born and raised in South Africa I was lucky enough to enjoy all that it has to offer. I spent the first half of my life living in the bushveld on a game farm where I learnt to love wildlife and nature. Then spent the second half in a small beach town on the east coast of the country called Plett. It is here that I learned my love and respect for the ocean and all things that come with it.
It is this passion for the ocean that has changed the course of my life and helped me to follow my dream of sailing around the world.
I think that this is the most amazing platform to meet new people. From past experiences I have found it difficult when traveling alone and staying in a BnB to actually meet as many people as possible and really get to explore the places I visit and take in the different cultures while teaching new friends about the interesting cultures of my home and inviting them to come and experience them for themselves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Again I think that CS is an incredible platform that connects the entire world in a way that is not revolved about any monetary value. To me this is amazing and I would like to go out and meet as many new people as possible and share some amazing experiences with new friends.
Interests
The ocean, wildlife, nature, surfing, food, socializing with friends, partying, music, dance.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, watching movies and especially listening to music. From autobiographies to fiction novels. Comedies to horrors. And pretty much every music genre known to the human race, I assure you I may not enjoy it but I will appreciate it. I am an up and coming DJ in South Africa so my knowledge and appreciation for different sounds and genres are of a high standard.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossed the Southern Atlantic Ocean on a 36ft Catamaran
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach sailing, cooking, carpentry, playing the guitar, DJing, surfing or just sharing experiences. I am looking to learn some new languages as well as anything anyone would like to teach me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am more than happy to cook, clean and help with any maintenance wherever possible. I can be a guest who is happy to do my own thing or tag along with whatever my host is doing. I am incredibly easy.
