My mission is to create images that matter and that explore issues of transformation within both individuals and nature. And to create more community, from the local to the international.

ABOUT ME

documentary photographer. love backpacking, hiking, dancing, splashing in puddles, laughing with friends and loved ones, climbing trees, people watching, cuddling with my girlfriend, eating pizza (good east coast style, none of that fat crust stuff), gardening, protesting, solidarity, long walks on beaches, being amazed, and... well shit the list can go on and on but that's a good start. currently living in boulder with my lovely girlfriend. trying to figure out how to evolve as a person. ditch my ego, ditch my fears, embrace love. i got hope for all of us. i expect change, big changes in my lifetime but i'm hopefull. gotta be i guess.

PHILOSOPHY

I love and live for potential. Anything that involves transformation keeps me going, especially radical self-transformation and the potential for societal change and growth that lies within that. I'm currently working on a photo project on veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that have decided to resist the war.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None officially yet but I have a cross country road trip coming up, so hopefully many soon. I took a year or so off of college, oh so many years ago, and hitched and bussed my way all over the country working and playing. I was offered (and graciously accepted) many a couch during that year. From Alaska to ElPaso.

Lots. Everything from bluegrass to hip-hop. Currently reading Joanna Macy, just re-read Siddhartha. Also recently read Writings for a Democratic Society (Tom Hayden), and The Omnivores Dilemma (Michael Pollan).
