ABOUT ME
My name is Jonathan (Jon) Rubin. In the United States, I major in applied mathematics, but plan on minoring in French, Computer Science, and Economics.
In my spare time, I play piano and trombone, read, play sports (especially swimming, basketball, Quidditch...yeah Quidditch), and study abroad.
I'm in France right now, and taking courses entirely in French. It's a completely new experience for me. I've always lived my life staying in one place, but the draw of so many European cities, so many un-experienced cultures, so close, pulls me inexorably.
This description feels too dry, but I better express myself in person. I hope so, at least.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything is observed from perspective. That said, you can choose how you see life, and everything else. But again, that's my perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love almost anything.
Music: I like a lot, but I mostly listen to rock (classic, and indie)
Books: I prefer science fiction, but recently I've been reading seventeenth and eighteenth century french plays
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Bay of Fundy in Canada fill up
Niagra Falls throw gallons upon gallons (whoops I'm in Europe...litres upon litres) of water into a swirling whirlpool
The sun rise over the Atlantic
And set over the Pacific
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to make balloon animals (beginner level)
I know how to play Quidditch (expert level)
I can make scrambled eggs (novice), but don't ask me to cook.
I can play Beethoven and Billy Joel on piano.
And I'm learning how to travel.
