About Me

I'm a driven and passionate guy who did marketing for 10 years. I'm now managing my own social enterprise and travel a lot for work. Born and raised in Manila, and use Manila / KL / SG as my base cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Have been hosted a few times in Europe thanks to couchsurfing and now it's time to give back. I'm also new in the city so perhaps this is a good way to make some friends as well.

Prefiero tambien la gente que hablan español porque estoy estudiando la idioma ahora.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love documentaries with insightful themes (Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Exit Through The Gift Shop) and movies that inspire greatness in life and career (Erin Brokovich, Gattaca). Fan of classic office-related TV series, "Suits", "House of Cards", "Mad Men", "Ally McBeal", etc.

I'm deeply into alternative music, especially the good old 90s/early 2000's: Third Eye Blind, Snow Patrol, Vertical Horizon, Nine Days, Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer. Soulful guitars with deep lyrics are my thing. On some days, I go for jazz and deep house.

Pretty much into books under management and memoir categories. I love Marshall Goldsmith's "What Got You Here Won't Get You There", Dan Ariely's "The Upside of Irrationality", Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential". I also proudly finished Blake Mycoskie's "Start Something That Matters" in a 13-hour flight.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been living in the city for more than 3 years now so I pretty much know the scene and where to show people around, or at least guide them where to go. KL is a very easy and convenient city to navigate.

I'm at work during daytime so I'm best to show you around the city at night. I will be mostly available for dinner and drinks especially on Friday and weekend nights (so I can stay up with you 'til the sun rises :p).

I've been lucky to have amazing guests so far and I strongly avoid guests who just hitch for a place to stay and make their own agenda. Couchsurfing is all about sharing experiences and stories between guest and host, so if your conscience can trouble you enough with your intentions, please don't hit that "request" button.
