About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Interested primarily in making people the best at what they can be. Always looking for interesting problems to solve.
ABOUT ME
My business consumes most of my time right now, which is okay for the short term. I am heavily engaged in the tech scene in San Francisco and I advise several startups. Being a happy hour enthusiast, I find it easy to meet new people and I have a great circle of friends.
I have worked as the personal business coach to small business owners earning $1M+ per year, written a book about distressed housing, and I regularly teach at industry events. When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, drinking wine, and telling bad jokes on Twitter.
PHILOSOPHY
Just try to figure out if the hokey-pokey really IS what it's all about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brand new to this (March 2013), but I've been to the Couchsurfing Headquarters. Awesome space!
Interests
I spend a good amount of time hiking. I try to do at least one big backpacking trip every year (John Muir Trail a few years ago, the PCT from Yosemite to Tahoe last summer). I meet very few wines that I don't like, and I can be found visiting the wineries in Napa and Sonoma on many weekends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite book is Mangled Mortgage (I wrote it). If you ask nicely, I may give you a copy.
Favorite movie is Goonies.
My musical tastes are all over the place.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on top of Mt. Whitney was an amazing experience. Spending a month in Thailand with no itinerary turned out to be my best decision of 2012.
Teach, Learn, Share
Building businesses, managing your time, and anything related to real estate are the places where I find myself teaching and sharing the most. I have taught formal classes on those topics, and many related topics.
Countries I’ve Visited
Mexico, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
