About Me
(Go to Couchers.org - its the free alternative, run by community and needs new members - when I couldn't find hosts here, I've found it there)
I am a tripeiro living around Scotland for now. I'm a quiet observer, equal parts melancholic and quirky, with a head bubbling with ideas, curiosity, and random wo/anderings. I used to break up my toys to see what was inside and the analytical mind just got worse with age, so I am happier letting curiosity lead my life by exploring what I don't know yet and that goes from internet rabbit-holes to jobs or what's happening in my neighborhood. Half brain stuck in teenage years, another accelerated too fast into old age.
I also like hiking, fighting and shooting sports, and to hangout with cats and dogs (can't wait to have my doggo). But most of the free time i spend indoors not doing much, i think its also a way to enjoy life or just coping with this strange normality. Allergic to parties, drinking, loud people, busy settings, social media.
Growing old and knowing what I like, I avoid socialising with randoms, but if you are a calm quiet sensitive creature then we can go for a tea or a nature walk.
Increasingly missing my Portuguese biome of the coast with sea smell mixed with sun dried pine needles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1-to meet others for cultural exchange (exchanging recipes is highly recommended).
2- if hosting, to give you a free+safe+quiet+comfortable place to spend the night. PLEASE don't feel like you have to 'give back' or even to entertain me. It's ok if you are tired, you have been travelling. I also just want to be by myself most of the times.
3 -because having the map incomplete makes me slightly ocd: if I haven't hosted your country yet, you'll have top priority.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A concert in a bathroom; hanging on an aeroplane's wing before jumping; diving in a pool and smashing my face in the bottom; being in a classroom that allowed pets; quitting a comfortable job with no notice to migrate; working with olive farmers and drinking moonshine with them; mountain trout fishing with my grandfather; slept in the desert; sunset on a Thai beach inside the sea with fish jumping all around me; mushrooms; seeing parts of myself in others; travelling by motorcycle; many others
Teach, Learn, Share
I can 'teach' creativity to those who think they are not creative; some notions of freedom around different topics (digital, food); basic computer maintenance, recipes, or the latest random thing that's been on my head.
I still want to know more about: mechanics, electrical, fishing, foraging, baking, playing an instrument, construction, and paragliding, but I think I will die before that since I'm a broke doomer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help you with little things like cooking, digital device maintenance, and finding the meaning of life.
