Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go places, do stuff, meet people.
ABOUT ME
I'm spending a summer in Chicago before relocating to NYC to attend the Institute of Fine Arts. I live in Boystown, am gay, and totally LGBTQ accepting. I generally work really early (waking up and leaving around 5:30/6:00 am), which can be annoying with guests, but it helps if you like to sleep in and want me to show you around the city in the afternoon, as I generally get off pretty early.
PHILOSOPHY
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to host, to surf, to show people around and meet new faces.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed a bit, but mostly just shown people around places. When I was in Europe I had some great time just hanging out with surfers. Now that I've got my own place I can host, finally!
Interests
Photography, local food, learning languages. Music, people. Reading (in a nonfiction phase). Seeing stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Southern Gothic literature, mostly, and modernist films. The usual Oscar bait. I'm a bit fan of contemporary classical music (Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Brian Eno), and random other stuff. My favorite album at the moment is Music for Men by Gossip.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made a Thanksgiving dinner in a hostel kitchen in Tallinn, Estonia, with no knowledge of how to cook any of the dishes, no proficiency in Estonian, and no measuring devices, and then sharing it with people from 6 different countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of random facts, and I love any chance to share them. I'm also versed in medieval history and American politics.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Turkey, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Italy, United States
