Right now we are interest in offering a work exchange. We work with leather and are looking for someone who would like to come and stay with us and learn the trade. You can check out our work on Instagram @jjleathersmith or at jjleathersmith.com. We are located about a block from the market in the centre of Otavalo. We have a spacious two bedroom place. The second bedroom has a bathroom with a hot water shower. There isn't a bed in the room only a large reed mat for a mattress. If you have camping gear we have a patio so that is possible too. I do work from the house but do go hiking and exploring often. My workload is pretty heavy but very flexible. So it is possible that we can show you around. But maybe not, just depending on what's going on at the time. Please write me in english or if writing in spanish or french please mention that you have read this post. We get a lot of generic copy and paste requests and they will be declined. I know its a pain to read and write individual post but you will have better luck getting a host this way. all the best!

I love photos that you have to think about, campfires that you can let you mind go numb to, running until you don't feel tired any more, and relaxing until you want to dance. so yea I'm pretty much all over the board. but one thing is for sure, I have fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I find that the people on this site are great! But they all seem so free. You know the kind of free that doesn´t wear a watch and may forget to host you. haha. But thats okay I have met lots of couchsurfers randomly. And whats nice about the site is that people identify themselves as Couchsurfers. What that means is that they will give you a place to crash even if you meet in person. Its a great site. It seems to make people more human. You know, to help their peers.

so many good times with my friend, on road trips, going to contest and riding my bike, its amazing how much riding a bike can do for you. the things it has shown me and then things that have happened to me because of bike riding are to many to list. Just good times all around.
