Hello, my name is Joon O Kim and I am 22 years old in Korean age.

I'm a student and soldier now.

Because, In Korea, men have to go to the army for two years.

Anyway, I am majoring in architecture and my hobby is art and music.

I've been learning French for a little over a year now. English is not that good, but I think conversation is going to work. Instead, I am confident that I can speak Japanese well.

If you can speak French and want to learn Korean, contact me. I have a lot of experience teaching Korean to foreigners so I can teach them easily. I teach you standard language, but sometimes you can have a lot of fun talking with Busan dialect.

And you can always contact me if you want to talk about art or photography with me regardless of language. Of course, architecture is a matter of course. You can contact me if you just want to play. Time is always filling up. I also want to make friends with foreigners just by talking about things in daily life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always wanted to speak French, but I haven't had a chance to. But I happened to know this site and signed up for it.

I thought it would be an opportunity to make a strong friendship by meeting with foreign friends lightly. Also, I thought it would help my study French. As I heard, sometimes there were parties, so I joined immediately.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to like old Korean songs. Or I like sweet ballad.

I like melodramas and didactic stories.

I read 'l'étranger' from Albert Camus with great impression. If you haven't read it, I recommend you to read it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was best to make friends on every trip.

Although I have not traveled so much, I am happy to still be in touch with friends I met then and meet them in Korea or the country. I wonder if there is anything better than this.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach math to high school students. I have taught for two years and I often get satisfied with my results and my students also.

I am still learning and studying French. Also, I continue to draw pictures and take pictures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a bed and a room with you in my house. If I am at home, I can share it. But it is difficult because I am mainly in the military's alternative. It's possible when I'm out.
