I'm a 21 year old student from the Netherlands studying governance/public administration and organisation science. I study and live in Utrecht normally, but I am doing my Erasmus in Rome at LUISS at the moment.

I am a social, kind and warm person, and always engaged and interested in meeting new people and seeing new places. Apart from having a good time, I'm also often the person to have long talks about anything you feel like telling.

It makes me happy to travel and meet people from all walks of life and to learn from their experiences. My travels have mostly been in Europe in hostels, but I want to try my hand at counchsurfing now to get a more local experience

Next to my studies my everyday life mostly revolves around spending it with friends and you can often see me out on the terrace to enjoy food with good company.

In Italy I am interested in the culture, historic sites, food, coffee, wine, language and local hidden spots and dishes. I would love to experience more of this through connecting with local people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Italy I have found my second home, enjoying the food, drinks and lifestyle under the Roman sun for a few months now. I have also been trying to see as much of Italy as I can, meeting locals on the way. I am just starting out with couchsurfing after a friend took me to a couchsurf event where I got to meet great new people and could see Rome from a whole new perspective. This is when I decided I want to have more of these experiences where locals and fellow travelers exchange their passions and stories of their lives.

- driving around unknown places in Rome in an old Fiat van with a group of internationals and a local

- organising study trips to interesting countries like Russia and Albania.

- spending 6 weeks in Singapore for research
