Hello, I'm a Korean girl who quit the job to travel around the world and I've been traveling for about 3 months so far.

Even though I haven’t had opportunities to study abroad when I was young, I’ve always had great interest in learning foreign languages and I’ve always wanted to explore bigger world. So I seized as many opportunities I could get to experience new cultures. I went to San Francisco as an exchange student for 2 semesters, I also studied in Beijing and Shanghai for learning Chinese, and I’ve been to Burundi, Africa to volunteer.

I always like making new friends from all over the world and I'M ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN MEETING PEOPLE who are working in other countries where they were not born!

Because one of the reasons I quit my job to travel around the world is to meet people who were brave enough to came out of their comfort zone and living in other countries. I want to hear stories about them, broaden my horizons toward the world and find out where I want to live and what I want to do in the future to have happier life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I heard about Couchsurfing for the first time from my dear friends in USA, I thought the idea of it was quite impressive. I’m very inspired by people all around the world who would be willing to share their private spaces, meet new friends and experience different cultures. I want to meet those wonderful people and share great, unforgettable memories with them! And I want to be like them when I go back to my country after this long journey.:)

Interests

Like so many others in Couchsurfing, I love traveling and I’m also very interested in travel industry. I like to experience various local foods, festivals, arts, etc. and I also love wondering around new places and chillaxing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I was lucky enough to go to Burundi, Africa as a volunteer and met a boy and his family I’ve been sponsoring for many years. It was one of the best moments of my life.
- I quit my job to travel around the world before it's too late.
- I just had 34 days of amazing camping trip in Southern part of Africa. I enjoyed the most breathtaking and unrealistic sunrises and sunsets!)
