About Me

Me and two of my best friends are going to New York for 10 days! One of our goals is to meet new, fun and open people in one of the biggest cities in the world. Couchsurfing is the best way for us to do this!

We are three student from the Netherlands who going abroad to meet new people and new experiences. We love meeting new people on festivals and are experts in wearing clothes you won't even put on your dog. Unless you have a crazy dog. Then maybe. Bring him to the vet. There might be something wrong with it.

We also have that stereotypical thing that everyone has, which is that we love visiting festivals. Every summer we hit up arounf four to five festivals, because we are those classic basic boys. We are also very trained in talking about absolutely nothing. Oh, and we think we are funny. Most of the time we just laugh about our selfs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best way to meet new people within a new city. What is better than getting to know a place better with people that live there! Also, people who open their houses for strangers are people that are desperatly needed in this world. Everyone is getting way to xenophobic and isolated in their own anxiety. By meeting people who have open minds and positive meanings we can share an amazing experience together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of: Drum 'n Bass, Tech-house, Rock. Oh, and a guilty pleasure which is Ariana Grande. On mute. Hihi. Furthermore, big fan of the Marvel movies, becasue I'm that basic guy. And I'm addicted to YouTube. Damn, typing this really makes me feel basic. I have to chance my life around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I often hitch-a-ride to festivals with friends. Last time me and a friend went to a thrift shop, bought the most hideous outfits for eachother (I had to wear a skirt with a shirt so ugly, even Lady Gaga wouldn't wear it) and went on a trip. People looked weird, but the people that let us ride with them were amazing people with great stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

My favorite word is "Sonder":

The realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If the host is a girl: I can listen to someone for hours and love long walks on the beach while talking about emotions.

If the host is a boy: I like beer and boobs.
