ABOUT ME

1. Joao Santos is a Portuguese artist photographer who is represented by the art gallery Art Lounge http://www.artlounge.com.pt Lisbon, Portugal.

His photography blends a variety of influences from design to abstraction and minimalism, exploring new forms of communication while also developing his own unique style and techniques. The work takes documenting the world around us as a point of departure but through Joao's vision becomes an exploration of visual sensation.

2. Joao Santos is an International wellness practitioner, a freelance professional masseur who performs integrated therapies and specializes in deep tissue/sports massage and foot reflexology. He travels the world as a visiting therapist and collaborates with several spa brands in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Indian Ocean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosted in Italy, Sri Lanka, Norway, Albania and Turkey, and in all these countries I only met wonderful people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been on the top of Europe: Jungfraujoch 3500m (Switzerland) by train :) !
Crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a cruise ship (6 day trip).
I have been twice to the State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia), probably the best Museum in the world!
OnceI got a hike from Lisbon (Portugal) to Freiburg (Germany) and further on to Berlin. Long trip!
Walked along the desert in Dubai (UAE) near Oman. I guess it must be like any other major desert though!

Additionally I have also been involved in radio projects as author, writer and producer of two weekly programs 1996-7 and 2009.
