Overview
About Me
Currently, I am living in Yangon working in informal education. I used teach young adults at a community development school for Burmese youth. Before arriving here, I was an AmeriCorps service member for 2 years working in downtown Buffalo, NY, with refugees and immigrants in schools and with resettlement.
I worked in Mae Sot, Thailand for 2 and a half years.
I am a busy, but flexible, person who loves meeting new people and really enjoys talking about Buffalo. If you hate the animal, the word, the Buffalo Bills, or the city, we could have a really silly discussion about how I can make you love the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel but also live with those who know the nooks and crannies of areas that I am unfamiliar with. I also love talking to new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Any and all, except maybe Thai pop music. My favorites lately are Kendrick Lamar and St. Vincent. And if you have heard (and love) Aqueous, we will be best friends. LIVE MUSIC.
MOVIES: Not up to date on modern movies but I always love a good Wes Anderson film, I Heart Huckabees, Moulin Rouge, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Judd Apatow movies, Whiplash etc. etc.
BOOKS: Ishmael, The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb, anything by Vonnegut and I am about to start the Game of Thrones series so see you all next year.
TV: Okay so I have not had a TV since I was a kid, but I love binge watching The Wire, Six Feet Under, Freaks and Geeks, Breaking Bad and Arrested Development
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my students and program with guests IF I HAVE TIME. They adore visitors and if anyone wants to visit the program and other projects in the community, we invite you with open arms.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a good food, loud music, bad jokes, conversation, and an open mind.
