About Me

Hi! My name is Jordan and I'm an educator/performer from the SF Bay Area in California. I love music and the outdoors and I'm always interested to meet new people! I'm a respectful house guest, happy to do chores and pitch in and I'm totally happy being social or keeping to myself. I've been travelling around California a lot more for work lately and getting to know the different areas better and I'm looking forward to doing more of that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just got a job performing environmental-themed music assemblies to elementary school students around the state! I'm loving the job so far and I will be travelling around to different areas of California for my performances. I think that Couchsurfing could be a great way to get to know the areas I'm travelling to better while also cutting down on my travel expenses.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: My own! I'm a music producer in addition to my day job. But seriously, some artists I love are: The Beatles, Todd Terje, Brian Eno, Nas, Wu Tang Clan, Radiohead, Air, Beck, Gorillaz, Kendrick Lamar, MF Doom, Stereolab, Vulfpeck

Favorite movies: Memento, Zoolander, Dogville, Pineapple Express, Oceans 11, Casablanca

Favorite books: Reading Dune at the time of writing this and I love it! I also love Kurt Vonnegut, especially the Sirens of Tiatan, poetry by Hafiz and my favorite book I've read in the past few years is called The Country of Ice Cream Star.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travel around the state rapping about the environment to kids so I think that's pretty awesome! :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be more than happy to help with paying for groceries, cleaning up around the house like vacuuming and washing dishes, etc. I will likely have a car so I may be able to help out with errands that would require driving as well. And as far as cooking goes, I'm not the most skilled but I'm definitely willing to help out!
