About Me

I love to travel and love connecting with people. It can be through stories, photography, or just as simple as asking a local what their favorite dish is in a cafe. Finding mutual ground and building a connection is the best feeling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through living and traveling abroad I have gained a global and multi-cultural insights that enrich my life daily. I love to meet new people and see the world in which we share through their eyes.

Interests

Other than travel, I try to lead a healthy lifestyle including a strictly pescetarian diet (like a vegetarian who can't live without sushi). I love Eastern European cultures (specifically Russian and former Soviet Republics). I try to be more mindful in life and would love to practice yoga, but haven't found a teacher/method which quite works for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm rather eclectic in taste. I range from Cher, Lady Gaga, Madonna, t.A.T.u., Chvrches, Ellie Goulding, Lorde, Broods, Eva Polna, Zedd, Avicii, Alanis Morissette... I love a good beat but can go deep or classic.

I love a good story that enlightens, entertains, and educates me all at the same time. These can vary from The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Age of Adeline, How To Steal A Million, The Italian Job, Кавказская Пленница, Бриллиантовая Рука... to name a few but is by far not exhaustive.

I love to read and try to every chance I get. My most recent inspiring book is "No Baggage" by Clara Bensen. She explores Europe with her new boyfriend from an online dating site for three weeks - all with no baggage, no plans of transportation/lodging. It's pretty radical but insightful. Another important read is "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I had no idea how large of a role and what problems the ego caused in life before reading this I lightening gem.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After graduating high school, I moved to Moscow to study Russian language and culture. I've been on a wayward mission to build bridges between western and eastern cultures ever since.
