Hello 😊. My name is Jordan and I am a social worker from the United States! After graduating university, I have dedicated my time to working in various industries and traveling all over the globe. From visiting my family in Vietnam to working at an Eco Lodge in Montenegro, I love sampling new methods of exploration and learning about other cultures. Through CouchSurfing, I am hoping to connect with hosts and travelers to spend time together and share about our cultures and lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am choosing to try Couchsurfing because I am interested in learning more about the culture of the places I travel. While I could, and do, stay in hostels, I believe sharing an experience with a local host offers a much more authentic and memorable time. This would also help me bring a more “real” perspective when I tell my tales back home 😊.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my proudest moments was completing the Camino de Santiago from France and across Spain! In total I walked about 900 km with all of my belongings on my back. In just 30 days!

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my passions is learning different languages. Before social work, I studied French and Spanish at university. I’d love to expand upon my skills- or help you with yours! A skill I am really hoping to develop is my ability to cook. While I love to eat, I’m pretty useless in the kitchen (unless you count cleaning up).

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I can offer language exchange as I speak English and Spanish fluently (also learning French). I would also love a cultural exchange of sorts, to share about our lives and learn about how people from different countries live.
