Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to have a place to stay with someone who is keen on conversing and meeting new people.

Would also like to meet people from the countries I travel in so I can learn about the current affairs and cultures from a local.
I would love to learn from new people. Learning is a strong passion I have and my main reason to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a large variety, currently listen to a lot of "Frightened Rabbit". Favourite bands are Pink Floyd and Oasis. classical and Latino music.

Don't watch many films nowadays unless its historical.

Books: George Orwell and the fictional classics. Most of my reading is historical and political. My main focus is on imperialism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 6 months in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Travelled in every inhabited continent (that excludes Antarctica!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can discuss anything historical and political.
Can help people learn about UK and Scottish politics as a specialty but can also discuss world history and politics from the early modern period to the present.
Can also discuss military operations and cultures with a very balanced take on it.
