About Me

Recently sold my business back home in Portland. Doing some long term travel to unplug and find adventure where I can. I’m a straight man with an objective and analytical point of view on many things but also open to new experiences and points if view. Strongly introverted but highly spontaneous and ready to throw everything off in the name of a random adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seems like a great way to meet people and see how other people live. I clean up after myself, I’m respectful of people’s property, a good conversationalist, and well read. If we connect, I’m comfortable with chatting over a drink, watching tv, or sitting in silence while reading a book but I’m also super spontaneous and ready to throw off the plans for the day and go on a random adventure. I’m pretty easy going and not pushy or too needy. All in all I’m pretty low maintenance and good company and I’ve got plenty of travel stories to share.

Interests

Right now it’s philosophy, religion, psychology, and mysticism. I’ve also recently taken up drawing and creating art on my iPad. I’m also an avid journaler and nature enthusiast.

Music, Movies, and Books

CG Jung, Joseph Campbell, Alan Watts are some hero’s. Most of the books I read are of a religious/psychological/philosophical nature.

Brian Jonestown Massacre, Holy Wave, Tame Impala Tool, folky stuff, relaxing piano, jazz. I also enjoy American country dancing and west coast swing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one? I guess that would be sell a business, move, and plan long term travel in a matter of three months. I’ve got others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Intellectual and objective conversation, spontaneous and witty observations and banter, book recommendations, adventure partner.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Cambodia, Canada, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Viet Nam
