About Me
Hello!
I am a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh currently working as a software engineer for General Electric. I have just recently started traveling to explore our vast, wonderful world and have met so many awesome people even in this short time while doing so. I believe that everyone has a unique story and one of the best parts of traveling for me is in meeting new people and hearing their stories.
In my free time, I often can be found on a cliff rock climbing to the top, in a studio practicing yoga, or out on the trail. If the weather isn't going to cooperate that day I enjoy writing short stories, cooking a new recipe, or reading a book/watching a movie. I try to incorporate at least some of these things in traveling, as they often end up being experiences that resonate with me.
One of my life philosophies:
Things in life change constantly, and you can either choose to fight the current and swept away or go with the flow and enjoy the experience. I try my best to go with the flow and appreciate my current situation rather than the expectations I had for it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While pretty scenery, fancy food and creature comforts are nice, life to me is all about the people you meet and the experiences you have along the way. I have tried Couchsurfing (both hosting and surfing) in the past with a friend and was struck by the amount of interesting, open, and thoughtful individuals we met while traveling that way. I found this to be a much richer and more authentic experience, and one you can't have simply traveling from hotel room to hotel room.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always willing to share my perspective on life and an open ear to understand yours. Great conversations are one of the things I appreciate most about traveling.
As far as hard skills, I can find my way around a kitchen and have a lot of fun cooking with people. Around the house I try to be as helpful, neat and considerate as possible and will always jump in if needed. I also enjoy troubleshooting tech issues for people since that's essentially been my professional life until this point.
