About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm an active adventurer who would like to cover as many US cities in my travels as possible. I've recently been traveling crappy Texas cow towns to find the best mom and pop German food.
ABOUT ME
I'm a goofball and I love to talk for hours over a meal and drink a little too much and share too many embarrassing stories
PHILOSOPHY
live a life that is truly life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE
This is my first time to couch surf and want to host.
MY COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I knew nothing about it, trying to find a place to link up with a longtime friend in his travels. Then I read into it and was amazed at the generosity and openness of hosts; now I want to host and experience sharing beyond my normal comfort level.
Interests
My favorite past time is to get to know people. I used to get to know people through competition from board games to rugby and jiu jitsu. It tells you a lot about a person but also narrows you to meeting competitive personalities.
Couch surfing where both parties can create value cooperatively for nothing fascinates me. I'm looking forward to beings surprised and out of my element.
I love athletic physical therapy books I've been reading on how to fix and maximize our body's potential.!!! They're super cool we just need to tweak a few habits. We don't need to go to a doctor or yoga studio to feel good, loose, and energetic. I won't give you a creepy massage, (unless you're cool with that bc a tight back will turn anyone crazy)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love a blend of indie/folk/ blues/Americana generally just music with some soul.
Books: Cool Tools, Getting to Yes, The Sun Also Rises, The Power of Less, anything Hemingway or Cormac McCarthy
Movies: anything Coen brothers, Guy Ritchie, Wes Anderson
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked with organization in Peru studying and developing solutions for the drug-crime cycle that sucks in single mothers for needed work and leaves them orphaned when they get life in prison with the war on drugs.
It seemed like such a simple problem on paper until you discover how differently various cultures think and operate.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a political science nerd, but I'm also a big goofball. I don't like arguing politics, I like listening to get new ideas to better our society.
My latest research has been on how neighborhood yoga and coffee shops effect the population of women in ugg boots with small dogs versus neighborhoods with coffee shops and bookstores which yield more hipsters and less yoga pants.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not sure how transferable military/backpacking skills are . But my latest obsession has been physical therapy, athletic performance and mobility, and self massage techniques any athlete or person who sits at a desk all day needs (without a silly doctor visit or gym membership)!!!
Good stories, good company, good beer, a good laugh, and some decent rug cutting with a Texas Two step.
