About Me

My name is Jordan. I like people, foreign cultures, exotic (for me) food, swimming, books, and tango. I love to travel. When I was younger, I used to hitchhike a lot, mostly because it gave me the chance to meet people I would have never encountered otherwise. It's similar to meeting people here in CS. With hitchhiking, you only meet helpful, open-minded people. That's so great!

I've been lucky enough to visit many countries around the world and found that Couchsurfing is great way to connect with locals and experience the local culture. I'm an easygoing and respectful guest, and I always try to leave a positive impression wherever I go. In my free time, I enjoy tango argentino, hiking and trying new foods. I'm always up for a good conversation and I would love to meet new hosts and make some great memories together!

I must admit that I don't appreciate people who treat Couchsurfing solely as a free hotel service, without any intention of engaging with their hosts or immersing themselves in the local community. Since Couchsurfing has become a paid platform, I feel there are more such individuals around. As a result, I'm not actively using the platform as much as before. Please note that during periods when I'm not paying for membership, I may not be able to respond to your requests. I'm currently testing out the BeWelcome platform at https://www.bewelcome.org/members/nyreves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My initial CS experience was in Northern Europe and it was awesome. I came across some super nice people. When I'm not traveling, I also host. Hosting is like traveling without leaving your place.

The best destination for me? There where I wasn't yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can think independently... at least I believe in this illusion ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Tango is so natural as walking, so I don't have to teach you. If you can walk, you can dance tango ;)
I am dancing tango for many many years... So if you want to try it will be fun for you, for sure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of stories from my travels to share... have some good practices to learn new languages, if you are interested... I can cook as well ;)
