I'm from Southern California but right now I live in Long Island, NY. In between I did my masters in Mathematics at the University of Trieste, Italy. Consequently I lived in Italy for 2 years. Currently I'm working on my PhD in mathematics in the States.

I love solo traveling and I've done a fair bit of it in Europe. I'm hoping to do more of it in the States.

When I was backpacking through Thailand, I met and became instant best friends with a 30-something plumber from Australia. I can't think of way that a 20-something PhD student from NY could meet this person other than backpacking and couch surfing. That's why I love it!

Learn: I'm still learning Italian so I'd love to practice. I also love to learn the history or culture of where I'm staying.

Share: Travel stories of course. But also I love cooking and I'd love to share some of my recipes with you or even better to cook together.
