About Me

I'm a veteran traveler new to couch surfing. I'm excited to learn, share and vibe out with the couch surfing community. I think it's a given that I love to travel, try new things and explore different landscapes and cultures. A conservation biologist turned builder, I now freelances with LA-based design & build firms

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Culture and language are windows through which we view the world and our relationship to it. Everywhere I go I'm always looking to make connections with locals- this is how the local customs and history of a place is experienced and absorbed. When I travel I open myself to be changed by the world and the people in it, and couch surfing is one more avenue to do that. Thanks CouchSurfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught Field Biology on the Galápagos Islands

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I started teaching myself Spanish about 10 years ago. I started teaching myself a lot of things 10 years ago, come to think of it- natural building primarily with Bamboo and Earth Bags, Biology, Ecology, Indigenous and Native American studies, becoming a minimalist (I can fit all possessions in my car), traveling to distant places and learning, connection to the Creator, the power of Ceremony different plant medicines. All of the various things we learn are based on sharing, and as a teacher we often learn the most about ourselves through our students.

We are all Connectors of worlds, Weavers of reality, the Dreamers of dreams, powerful beyond our wild expectations, and have unique things to share and learn here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, my travels, my smiles, my music. Pragmatically, I'm very handy. That's not an invite to put me to work, but ask me if you need a hand with something or need some input on a building project.

Countries I’ve Visited
