About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Eventually I have dreams of opening a hostel/campground type idea, or maybe just a resort in some tropical destination? Until that day comes, I just want to meet as many people as I can, host who i can, and help them to enjoy their experiences while they are here.
ABOUT ME
I work full time Monday-Friday, and am also going to school to finish up my undergrad at the same time. I'm interested in anything outdoors, and will take any chance i can to go on an adventure, whether it be just a trip into the mountains, or a last minute flight to some country i've never been to. I'm studying Geography and urban planning in school, and people and culture are very important to me, and i have a big interest in both, and want to experience, and understand as many cultures as i can. I would also consider myself fairly political, and like to stay up to date with global current events, and help where i can.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn from the past, think about the future, but live for today
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm in the position where i have an extra room, so i would like to offer it out to people both to help them with accommodations, but also to hopefully meet new friends from all over the world. I was thinking of putting an add on Airbnb, but decided that i think the people on couchsurfing would be more my style. As of this time (summer 2016), i have yet to host anyone, or stay with anyone, but hopefully that will change shortly.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I love music, especially live music and local shows. Grew up with punk rock roots, but super varied. Not a big fan of metal, or top 40, but open to almost everything else.
Movies:
Dont really watch much tv or movies, but if i do, it tends to be documentaries.
Books:
Lately just textbooks, but favourite book would probably be John Perkins "Confessions of an economic hitman."
What I Can Share with Hosts
Obviously i can share my house, but also i can add as much or as little to your trip as you want. I love the area i live in, and especially the outdoors, so if timing works i would be more than willing to take you out to some of my favourite places, or experience new ones. If timing doesnt work, or you prefer to do things on your own, i can still offer as much info as you like. My brother lives with me, so there is normally someone home. I do have a dog, so you have to be ok with that, but he is the most friendly guy in the world, and you cant help but fall in love. My brother also has a dog (a Frenchie) who really is part pig, and just snorts, grunts, and farts a lot, but shes still pretty cool.
My house is in Coquitlam, which is about a 40 min drive from Vancouver, 5 minutes drive from the bus loop which will take you pretty much wherever you want to go. Vancouver by transit is about 50 min to an hour away. The new skytrain line will be opening in early 2017 and that provides rapid transit to Vancouver, and is only a 10 minute walk from my house. I also live right off a river that has trails all through it, and i'm close to Burke mountain, which offers mountain biking trails. Also, there are a few lakes, with lots of hiking all very close to me.
Countries I’ve Visited
Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Mexico, Poland, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Spain, Turkey, United States, Venezuela
