Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Brooks, Alberta, Canada. I've been a few places but recently moved home to be closer to family.
I can't host anyone right now :-( but with any luck will be doing a cross Canada trip sometime in the next 6 months. Hopefully I can meet some couch-surfers on that trip. I have worked in a large variety of fields, some of them literal.
I have traveled briefly in Switzerland, France, and Scotland with family. I have relatives in Switzerland. Spent 11 months in Australia, on a working holiday visa. to work and travel. I met so many great people. I would do it again in a heartbeat (if I could afford it).
My biggest passions are flying, snowboarding, enjoying live music, cycling, surfing and motorcycling.
In the future I intend to join the Canadian Army, finish my private pilot's license, take further training as a snowboard instructor, learn a second language and travel a lot more.
I have done virtually every manual labor job out there and also most of the last decade operating heavy equipment. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I am fairly handy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I think it is a great concept and this site is the original (as far as I know).
If I owned my own apartment or house I would definatly host people. Sadly I do not own any real estate.
For the time being I am hoping to stay with others (when I do go traveling again) and someday in the future participate as a host.
I have only stayed with one host, in Sydney, Australia but that was a positive experience.

I love flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, photography, riding bicycles, listening to music, driving, exploring/traveling and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many genres but if I had to pick a current favorite I would say Rock.
I enjoy non-fiction and fiction (provided it's almost believable). The same goes for books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived all the questionable decisions I've made so far...not even kidding...I am genuinely surprised, and grateful to still be alive. My guardian angel is always on point.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about construction, flight, snowboarding and mechanics. I would like to learn another language, to surf better, and in general become a more compassionate person and a better communicator, regardless of language. As far as sharing, I suppose I can share my time, what else is there really?
What I Can Share with Hosts
My time, my previous experiences, my skills.
