ABOUT ME

Through forces not yet fully understood, I was somehow hurtled back in time from the year 2019 while carrying a bag of groceries home from the supermarket (yes, we still have those, but they get way cooler). I landed back in the year 2007, which was actually a great relief as there were a few things I wanted to avoid in between those years. I've since set out to rectify all my misdoings and missed opportunities and hopefully help make the world a slightly better place.

One thing I regretted was not travelling, so in the summer of 2008 I got right on that and traversed most of the Western European nations (and a couple Eastern ones too) -- which I hope to be the beginning of many adventures to come. Who knows what the future holds!

PHILOSOPHY

Accept without exception, give without condition, live without regret. Only then are you truly free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I put CS to the test by travelling across Europe, and now I host couchsurfers back home in Vancouver!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CouchSurfing experience began with one (1) Ally Jenkins, a New Zealander who was working as a liftie up on one of the mountains in Vancouver, along with two of my roommates. She crashed on our couch for about a week or so, during which she kindly informed me of this site. Sounded nice, but does it really work? As it turns out, yes it does!

Though I've surfed with other CouchSurfing members, my first "real" CouchSurfing experience was in Vienna, Austria, where a young German couple were kind enough to invite me into their flat for a week. It couldn't have gotten off to a better start. Not only were they just great people, but they showed me around the city and brought me to places I most likely would have missed had I been on my own.
