About Me
CURRENT MISSION
spend a month in Europe with no specific plan, and come back with some good stories
ABOUT ME
Grew up in upstate New York. I've been in Texas for 10 years now, 2 1/2 of those in Austin. Big dork on music film and literature. Ride my bike constantly, and fix them up for fun on the side. Been a pedicab operator for the past two years which hs provided me with a lot of weird, glorious, epic, frightening, and inspiring experiences. Enjoy keeping life simple, and appreciating the value of what life hands you.
PHILOSOPHY
Do something ubsurd or rediculous, cause why not right?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm pretty new at it.
Interests
A ton of music ranging from Black Metal to hip hop to experimental psych droney noise, to folk, to guitar driven rock, with this weird little infatuation with Electric Light Orchestra. Grew up on old kung fu and samurai films, and old horror films. Started up a weird obsession with comic books a year or so ago, but novels and history books are still always in rotation for me. I work at a juicebar specializing in organic foods, and superfoods so an interest in some nutrition, and alternative eating has sparked in me, but not so much that I'm willing to completely give up eating meat. Also into bicycles. I've been fixing up, upgrading and reselling bikes for the past couple years, not turning much of a profit, but it's been something I've enjoyed learning and find somewhat thereputic.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a general appreciation for all of it, it just needs to be different from the last thing I heard/read/watched.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crawling four hours into Airman's Cave in Austin Tx past a hacksawed chain barrier, past the "For permission to go further..." sign, and just a little past the last date I saw etched onto the wall from the year 1998 and realizing I was in a place that only a handful or so people in this entire world have ever been.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can probably fix your bike, and cook some pretty good food for you too. So there's the practical. Otherwise I love exchanging ideas on life and the reality in which we choose to live. But I am alwys conscious that there aren't any "right" answers to this, so in a sense I'll always be a student.
