About Me

Hi, My name is Jordi and I'm 30 years old.

I am from a small town near Barcelona (Moià). I've been living here for the past 2 years but before that I also lived in Denmark and Germany. I like traveling with a purpose (not just tourism), that's how I ended up counseling during two summers at a summer camp in USA, volunteering in Uganda, or doing farm work in Australia.

Every once in a while I need to call a time-out to travel, reflect, pace myself and get involved in personal projects that have a few or nothing to do with my professional skills, but a lot to do with myself, and that's why I'm here.

I am on couchsurfing because I truly believe there are ways to work and travel other than doing so for money and adjusting to a strict contractual basis. I love to travel, to meet new people from other cultures, to share life experiences and to help with my hands and mind when needed.

I am a person that likes to exercise and spend plenty of time outdoors, while staying at home I enjoy reading, drawing or just spending time with my friends and relatives. I am a pacifist, I love to learn and I try to teach, I appreciate doing things by myself and I dream about growing my own food one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The philosophy of Couchsurfing is how I think life should be. Sharing experiences together with respectful and positive people is the essence of life, and my place is open for all these people. I like to learn from the others, and I like to make the others feel welcome where I live and teach something if I can.

Interests

I reaally enjoy outdoor sports and activities... exercising outside, climbing trees, playing soccer, hiking, snowboarding... anything that makes me feel alive! When I am at home I am more quiet, drawing, reading, writing, listening to music or watching a movie. I take drama lessons. I like deep conversations with open minded people, I like to cook together and share different foods, and I really like meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds, I think it is amazing to see different points of view but overall I enjoy being with positive people :) I love when someone teaches me something or shows me a new experience that I haven't considered before
