About Me

I was born in Queens New York and moved to Pennsylvania during my preteen years. Both of my parents are from Colombia. I have gone to Colombia a total of 6 times in my life and every single visit has been a whole different experience. My recent visit to Colombia (December 2015) was my favorite thus far because I was able to explore Bogota, Cali, Cartagena and Santa Marta during the Christmas holidays. Aside from Colombia I have visited Canada and Mexico. My senior year of high school I participated in the German American Exchange Program, where I stayed with a German Family and attended class at the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Reutlingen Germany. In May 2016 I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I will start working with Accenture Consulting at the beginning of October in the city of Philadelphia, but before I do so, I want to travel to as many European countries as possible ! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couch surfing experience began when my two friends and I decided that we wanted to do a cross-country trip from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles California (36 hour car ride). Along the way we hit major cities and land marks (Chicago, Mount Rushmore, Colorado, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles) and on our way back we passed through the Grand Canyon and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. My friend introduced me to couch surfing and Airbnb as we traveled through 19 different states. I was amazed at how friendly everyone was and how much you can learn by staying with locals of the region you are visiting. After that mind blowing adventure I knew I had to download Couchsurfing and start my journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to listen to a lot of Latin music, top hits, House and EDM. Game of Thrones is probably my favorite T.V. show to this point. Other T.V. shows I enjoy are Breaking Bad, impractical Jokers, and Shark Tank. One of my favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird and Bless me Ultima.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled through 19 states in less than 7 days by car.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe everyone makes mistakes and should be given a second chance, after all no one is perfect and should learn from their mistakes. Also, "live and let live" - you should tolerate the opinions and behavior of others so that they will similarly tolerate your own
