About Me

Hello. My name is Jorge Castillo. I live in the beautiful Mexico in Monterrey. I have 4 lovely kids. Yes 4! 2 girls and 2 boys. My little thing was my sweetheart at high school and she is still with me after so many years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard from people I know about couch surfing and it sounded very interesting. I'm going to Europe this summer and I heard again from someone, why don't you try it? I did the same with uber and I enjoy the rides. I think I can get to know very interesting people and if I go to some place I can really get the real thing on culture and the way they really live there with the local food and real touch with people.

Interests

I like music and travel, love people culture and learning more from other people. Every time you get a point from someone you can't avoid making it a bit of your own. You see things in ways that maybe you hadn't considered before. I like Photography and my oldest daughter loves it too.

Music, Movies, and Books

A little of many genders. I like old rock and alternative music. U2 is on my top list. Boston, Kansas, counting crows, 80s in general. We like romantic like Air supply also. For movies The Big Fish, The Fight Club, The game, I like fiction and action as a man but I like a lot romantics. As in Series How I met your mother. In books I liked The Davinci Code, and from the same author Angels and Demons.
I am reading the Steve Jobs book. I pick some random books or audio and just let it go. Not a big reader really. I usually prefer the self development books and titles like Rich dad series and The Secret as an example. Because of my oldest kid I read that Divergent stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped 3 times on the parachute. I liked skydiving and when I have the time I will get certified to jump on my own. I have enjoyed the jumps, but someone is taking care of everything and you are just relaxing and enjoying the ride. I think the thing becomes more thrilling when you know you are the responsible for all and all the control is in your hands. Hope to do it next year maximum depending on my time as work takes all my time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are a Mexican family with our own customs and our own personality. In my first trip to Europe I want to take my first daughter and my wife also. I think we can share a lot of experiences and make it an interesting visit. My wife knows how to cook nice Mexican food. I am not a cook in any way but I like doing Carne Asada. (Grills) I'm from Mexico City, my wife from the coastal Baja California and my first daughter from La Paz Too and she is in her 14 year so, we are all different and easy going.
