Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm new to coach surfing even though I've done lots of travelling. I decided to make an account since many people have recommended it as a great alternative to hostels and a great way to meet local people.
I've just finished my degree in Financial Planning at Manchester Metropolitan University. After I finished my degree I worked for 4 months in a call centre, saved my money and flew to India to start my world tour!
The route I have planned is; 1 week Nepal, 2 months India, 2 weeks Sri Lanka, 3 weeks China, 2 weeks Japan, 1 week South Korea, 2 weeks Philippines and then a years working in Australia.
In 2012 I travelled around Europe for 2 months and then 2014 I travelled around South East Asia for 3 months. Both trips were amazing and look to continue seeing the world one step at a time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Friends have recommended I make an account as its a great alternative to hostels and a great way to meet local people and really learn about the culture I'm exploring.
I also wanted to be apart of this community and look to start hosting when I return home.
Interests
From a young age I've enjoyed many sports like football, rugby, cricket and swimming.
When travelling I love to read, which keeps my mind active. So far this trip I've read marching powder and the time machine.
Socialising is a big part of my life, I enjoy meeting new people where I can learn about different cultures and backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy feel good music eg reggae, some chart music and classics from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
I love The Harry Potter movies and The Lord of the rings trilogy, I've always got lost in these types of movies ahah.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a tough one, I guess completing my degree feels pretty special since I've never been the most academic person I had to work really hard to ensure I passed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help to teach English / develop my hosts English.
I can also learn the local language to help me connect with local people better.
I can share stories from my trip and any other knowledge I may have
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a wealth of stories from my travels to keep my host entertained.
I would be more than willing to cook for my host / contribute to the cooking and cleaning.
