Hi, my name is Jorge I'm 23 years old, I'm a bike tourist from Portugal and I'm here to meet new people along my journey. I usually bikepack with my brother who is 2 years younger than me. We are both college students, (I'm studying mechanical engineering) and we both enjoy riding bicycles and exploring new places on holidays.

Last year, my brother and I embarked on a bikepacking journey from Barcelona, Spain, to Milan, Italy. Our experiences with Couchsurfing and Warmshowers were fantastic. We loved meeting local people, sharing conversations and ideas, and getting to know the places better. This year, we aim to repeat this experience as we bikepack from Lyon, France, to Rome, Italy, through the Swiss Alps.

My first bike-packing trip was from Porto to Lisbon, it was 3 years ago and it was nice because I get to know in detail a major part of the Portuguese coast, and then my second trip was doing the "caminos de Santiago" from Aveiro. This trips I hadn't a great success meeting new people, so now I want to do something different that's why I created a couchsurfing account.

I'm would like to learn new languages (French, Italian) but is not going great. I can only speak Portuguese and English.

About hosting, unfortunately, I don't have my own house, I sleep at my parent's house or in a room in Aveiro when I'm in college, so, for now, it's a little difficult to host, but if you ever going to Vale de Cambra or Aveiro, I can give you some tips and show you places to stay, and if you give enough notice time maybe you can camp on my parents garden.
