Hi!! My name is Jorge and I am 38 years old. I was born and raised in Rosario, Argentina. I've had a lifelong interest in traveling and in February 2017 I quit my job, left everything behind and started to make my dreams of traveling around the world come true. After spending one year and a half traveling around South America, I moved to Ireland where I lived for three years, and then three years in Spain.

And now, I'm fulfilling another dream: to hitchhike from Spain to Japan, crossing Europe, the Middle East and a big chunk of Asia.

I love to hitchhike and I am also a musician (I play bass, guitar, piano and actually whatever thing that makes music). In between trips, I am a Sysadmin, geek and part-time Linux freak.

They say there are about 7 billion people on this planet... There must be some seriously cool people out there, don't you think??

Hola!! Me llamo Jorge y tengo 38 años. Nací y viví siempre en Rosario, Argentina, hasta que inicié mi primer viaje largo. Siempre me interesó viajar y en febrero de 2017 renuncié a mi trabajo, dejé todo y salí a cumplir mi sueño de recorrer el mundo. Después de viajar un año y medio por Sudamérica, viví tres años en Irlanda y tres en España.

Y ahora estoy cumpliendo otro sueño: ir desde España hasta Japón haciendo autostop, cruzando Europa, Medio Oriente y gran parte de Asia!

Me encanta viajar de autostop (haciendo dedo), y además soy músico (toco bajo, guitarra, piano y en realidad cualquier otra cosa que haga ruido). Fuera de los viajes, soy Sysadmin, fanático de las computadoras y la tecnología, y Linuxero part-time.

Dicen que hay 7 mil millones de personas en el mundo... Debe haber gente muy copada para conocer ahí afuera, no les parece?

I love Couchsurfing for the same reasons I love to hitchhike. It allows you to connect with locals (or travelers from around the world in case you are a host), make new friends and have a much more authentic perspective of the places you visit.

I have been both host and guest and every single experience has been great!! I'm sure this is because each of us (who actively takes part in this community) understands exactly what it takes ;)

Me encanta Couchsurfing por la misma razón que me encanta viajar de autostop, te permite conectarte con gente local (o con viajeros de cualquier parte en caso de ser host), hacer nuevos amigos y tener una perspectiva mucho más auténtica de los destinos a visitar.

He sido tanto host como guest y realmente todas las experiencias han sido muy positivas!! Estoy convencido que esto se debe a que todos los que formamos parte activamente sabemos y entendemos de qué se trata ;)
