About Me

The best what always happens.
Hi, my name is Jorge, I’m an architect from the colombian city of Valledupar.
I come from a “crossbred” family in Colombia, paisa dad and costeña mom, it’s a rarity. I grew up in a historical neighborhood of valledupar, between books, paper, color pencils and the spoiling looks of my grandma and uncle. While looking to my uncles books, I always knew that the world was waiting for me to explore.
That’s why every time I can I come up with some excuse to pack my bags an travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I lived one year in Italy and was lucky enough to meet Simona, she explained me all about couch surfing, and now I always check it out every time I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie rock, jazz, I know a bit of colombian folk music but is not my favorite. Books of all types, movies... Almost all kinds.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once with my thesis mates we climbed a little mount with some kids of a town called Guane in Colombia, so we would reach a wooden white cross that you can see from the town's main square. The landscape was beautiful and the moment was awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been said that i'm like a little wikipedia, and I can tell things with crude or soft tone. I'm interested in everything, particularly what is hidden and unsolved.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always travel with traditional Colombian sweets, I can also cook some traditional Colombian food. I think the best thing I can offer is my open mind to talk about anything.
